Dr. Noel attended Tulane University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
She went on to attend Lipscomb University where she earned a Master of Science degree in Biomolecular Science. She then earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. Following earning her veterinary degree, Dr. Noel completed a rotating internship at BluePearl Specialty and Emergency Pet Hospital and a surgery internship at Seattle Veterinary Specialists. She then returned to the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine where she completed an Orthopedic Fellowship. After fellowship, Dr. Noel briefly accepted a position with Dr. Darryl Millis as a dual PhD Candidate/Surgery Resident- however, after careful consideration, she elected instead to pursue her truest love, emergency medicine and critical care while opting to spend more time with family. She is currently fulfilling her Certified Canine Rehab Practitioner certification with Dr. Millis and UTCVM.
Dr. Noel has contributed to veterinary publications on topics including small animal biomechanics and the effects of kinesiology tape on canine gait, as well as the role of selected ion channels and their effect on hypertension and vascular contractility in mice. Dr. Noel has a special interest in wound management, trauma, and emergency surgery. Her favorite part of veterinary medicine is strengthening the human-animal bond by educating pet owners and practicing the highest standard of medicine.
When not in the ER, Dr. Noel enjoys baking, crafting, reading, live music, and spending time with family and friends. She was a collegiate athlete, playing soccer and running cross country, therefore, she loves to remain active whether she is running or mountain biking. Dr. Noel’s favorite non-veterinary job was working as a camp counselor for kids and adults with special needs in Rockport, TX.
